Palm Oil (elaeis guineesis)

The Palm oil used in our wonderful SCRUB is sourced from Columbia, South America. The oil is extracted from the fruit that is removed from the Palm trees, avoiding any destruction to the forests.

Like most oils extracted from wild or cultivated foods such as nuts and berries, Palm oil is a highly beneficial component in skin care. It is rich in Vitamin A and E and is high in beta-carotene. It also contains skin softening properties.

The oil from the fruit’s kernel acts as a gentle cleansing agent, which is safer and far more desirable than the synthetic foaming agents used in most common skin and hair care products.
